WHO I AM
Hi! I’m Rachel Windchaser, a dedicated expert in human-horse relationships and rewilding for self-understanding.
Growing up in a family where horses were central, I received my first pony at three. This ‘equine extended family’ instilled in me a deep respect for horses, yet I was determined to carve out my unique path.
I have developed a practical application for rewilding and am committed to:
1. lifelong learning, growth
2. Bridging gaps in equestrian education

I am committed to two key principles:
1. Lifelong Learning and Growth: My mission has always been to expand my knowledge and skills. This journey has taken me across borders and cultures, learning from renowned equestrian experts, behaviorists, and holistic practitioners. The diversity of knowledge I’ve acquired has enriched my understanding of both horse and human behavior and given me a road map to where I want to travel and, importantly, where I don’t. I strive to bring this wealth of insight to my clients.
2. Bridging the Gap in Equestrian Education: Throughout my journey, I’ve seen the significant gaps in equestrian education. From Italy and Spain to the UK and beyond, many are still entrenched in outdated practices. I aim to modernize horsemanship by integrating contemporary understanding of horse psychology with familiar techniques, and ironically, taking you back to the beginning, ensuring a more empathetic and effective approach, as understanding nature is the key to unlocking miscommunications.
Living a lifetime with horses has given me invaluable experience, but it also fueled my desire to push boundaries and innovate within the field. When I set out on this path, I didn’t have a clear idea of where it would lead. I just knew that my passion for horses and my desire to connect deeply with them would guide me. Over the years, I have worked in various challenging environments, learning not just from other equestrians but significantly from the horses themselves.
My journey was paved with hard work, persistence, and a deep awareness of the horses in my care. My experiences have taught me that no dream is too big and no obstacle insurmountable.
Every hurdle I overcame, whether it was cultural differences or resistance to new ideas, strengthened my resolve. I believe that rewilding and reconnecting with our primal selves helps us better understand our horses and, in turn, ourselves. My principles are designed to bridge the communication gap between humans and horses, fostering a deeper, more intuitive connection.
